Waking up to good gourmet breakfasts with local flavors was a treat. I loved the artistic decor that added character to the cozy atmosphere of the house.

Room lacked hanging space and toiletries!!! Missing iron or ironing board surprised me. Internet and cable issues spoiled my entertainment options!!! Decor showed signs of aging, detracting from the overall ambiance.

The house had a tranquil atmosphere. Our King Room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade Belgian waffles. I enjoyed coffee on our private balcony. Joellyn was an attentive host.

It was just an excellent fit for a brief hiatus in Galveston with good value for cost. I enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden area with a cup of tea after a long day. Check out the coffee and tea bar for a nice afternoon treat.

We absolutely loved our stay! Our King Room was super comfy, and we spent afternoons lounging in the beautiful garden and enjoying the cozy TV room. Just a heads up, there weren’t many toiletries in the room, but it didn't take away from our experience at all. 😊

The Carr Mansion had a charming old house vibe, perfect for a cozy getaway. My room was comfy with a unique standalone tub. Tons of hot water. It felt peaceful, especially being a 21+ hotel. I was a bit disappointed that breakfast wasn't offered during my mid-week stay. The host's friendly recommendations for breakfast spots made up for it, and I loved snacking on the well-stocked tea and coffee bar. Some areas of the mansion needed repairs, like the walls showing signs of aging, which took away from the beauty it could have had. Despite its quirks and occasional noise from other guests, I enjoyed my night there, thanks to the hospitality and the comfortable setting.

The room was clean, cozy, and had luxurious bedding. The vibe of the room was healing, creating a nice experience. The host was knowledgeable about the history of the home and the island. a highly recommended stay.
